Antique Mills Liberty Bell slot machine manufactured approximately 1906-07. This machine was one of the first manufactured by the Mills Novelty Company. The machine works great. We have owned the machine since 1991. We pull the handle three or four times a year, but do not overuse it because it is approximately 102 years old. Payouts match up exactly with the payout placard. For whatever it is worth, we were told by the person from whom we purchased the machine that he was the grandson of the original owner who ran a speakeasy in Chicago during prohibition. The serial number on the base of the mechanism is 4931. On the back of the payout placard is the following very old and yellowed sticker or label that says: J. L. Everett Coin Operated Machines, Punch Boards, Raffle Deals, etc. Harlowton, Montana This is a nickel machine. However, we have never used any nickels in the machine. The machine came with many coins that were used during prohibition and when gambling was illegal. There are many tokens in the payout mechanism and the machine will come with seven novelty tokens in the payout cup. All of the tokens have a hole in the center of the token. All of the tokens refer to either quality mints, for amusement only, good for 5 cent mints, good for 5 cents in trade, Burnham Gum Machine Works, etc. We will personally deliver the machine, please email us for information and costs.
